The Student Guild

The purpose of the Student Guild is to protect mutual interests of the students & faculty and maintain standards. As such, the Guild will exercise influence and feedback on issues pertaining to college life, academics, care of students and facilities. The Guild provides a key role in painting the culture of the college for future students. The Guild consists of 6 members elected by the students—the Master of the Guild, the Syndici representing each class, and the Verger, caring for the facilities—and one member appointed by the President’s cabinet: the Beadle, who represents the college.

ARTIFACT Journal Team

ARTIFACT is New College Franklin’s biannual arts publication, a collection of creative writing, poetry, photography, and art created by students, alumni, and faculty. The Artifact team is entirely made up of students—from design, to editing, to publishing—and there are always places for students on the team who are gifted in design, wordsmithy, or the technical side.

Media Team

Students have the opportunity to apply for paid positions on the NCF media team. Students can help the college capture the school year as photographers or as content writers for the newsletter

Athletics Club

We believe that education is mind, spirit, and body and the athletics club is one way students are able to train their bodies. The Athletics club participates in local sports leagues, hosts ultimate frisbee games, and conducts weekly conditioning leading up to the completion of a Spartan race.

Dance Club

The Dance Club organizes regular opportunities for students to dance together in many different styles — swing, Irish & English country, waltz, and more! No experience necessary — each dance includes teaching time. The Dance Club also teaches dancing at various events throughout the year, including the Winter Ball, Yuletide Feast, and Prospective Days.

Prayer Leaders

Upperclassmen have the opportunity to join the team of students who lead daily prayer service. Students serve regularly to lead the rest of the college in singing, prayers, and scripture. This team is led by Mr. Greg Wilbur.
