Ways of Knowing: Dissection or Incarnation? with Kimbell Kornu

  • New College Franklin 136 3rd Avenue South Franklin, TN, 37064 United States (map)

Dissection and incarnation are ways of knowing operative not only in medicine but are also generalized ways of knowing that apply to all the ways we encounter others in our lives and in our world. This lecture will draw on the history of medicine, theological reflection, clinical practice, and personal experience. It will explore the primacy of incarnational knowing with dissective knowing as a helpful tool, and the problem with making dissection primary.

This lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with NCF Faculty members as well as an audience Q&A and reception with light refreshments.
